Metro Pacific Health Hospitals and University of the Philippines formalized a new partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for the Expanded eHOPE Program, strengthening healthcare support for members of the UP community last April 8, 2026 at the UP Executive House.
The Expanded eHOPE Program, or the Enhanced Hospitalization Program for Employees, provides financial assistance for hospitalization expenses of UP faculty, staff, and personnel. Through the program, eligible employees may receive support for hospital care and related medical expenses, ensuring that those who serve the University have access to quality healthcare when they need it most.
Through the partnership, UP employees will be able to access medical services from MPH Hospitals, further expanding the program’s network of healthcare providers.

During the ceremony, MPH Hospitals expressed its appreciation for the opportunity to work with the country’s premier national university. In his message of support, Denn Sajo, Group Head for Strategic Partnerships emphasized the alignment of the partnership with the hospital network’s mission of compassionate care.
“At MPH, we carry a simple but meaningful promise in our tagline: “The Heart of Filipino Healthcare.” And today, that heart extends to the UP community. Through this partnership, we hope to make healthcare more accessible and reassuring for UP employees, knowing that when the time comes that they need care, there are institutions ready to serve them well,”
He added that the partnership reflects the complementary roles of the two institutions in nation-building.
“MPH Hospitals help take care of UP employees, while UP continues to take care of the future generations of Filipinos.”
The partnership reflects the complementary roles of the two institutions. While UP continues to educate and prepare future generations of Filipino professionals, MPH Hospitals will help ensure that the people who sustain the University receive the care and support they deserve.
In many ways, the collaboration reflects a simple but meaningful idea: MPH Hospitals help take care of UP employees, while UP continues to take care of the future generations of Filipinos.
Both institutions expressed optimism that the partnership will contribute to stronger support systems for UP personnel while promoting accessible, quality healthcare.
The MOA signing marks the beginning of a collaborative effort between UP and MPH Hospitals, one grounded in shared values of service, compassion, and commitment to the Filipino people.
