Riverside Bacolod Cancer Care Center has been named the recipient of the Patient Care Initiative of the Year – Philippines at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2025. The award recognized the center’s Cancer Navigators Program, a patient-centered initiative that provides personalized support and guidance to cancer patients throughout their treatment journey.

Launched in 2020, the Cancer Navigators Program aims to assist cancer patients and their families as they navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. The program focuses on four key components: comprehensive patient navigation and support, financial assistance, collaborative care networks, and community engagement. Since its inception, the program has successfully supported 2,300 cancer patients.

This recognition reflects the dedication and collaboration of the Patient Navigators and the entire Cancer Care Center team, whose work ensures that patients receive coordinated care and compassionate support. The program has helped patients overcome barriers to treatment, access vital healthcare services, and receive continuous care at every stage.

Organized by Healthcare Asia Magazine, the annual awards recognize hospitals and medical institutions across Asia that have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and impact in healthcare delivery. The Patient Care Initiative of the Year category honors outstanding programs that significantly improve patient experience and outcomes.

As the country observes National Cancer Survivor Month, this award underscores the importance of patient-centered programs in the fight against cancer. Riverside Bacolod Cancer Care Center reaffirms its commitment to delivering quality cancer care and supporting patients on their journey to healing.
